National Security Classified Information Law and Legal Definition
According to 36 CFR 1275.16 (Title 36, Parks, Forests, and Public Property: chapter XII, National Archives and Records Administration; Subchapter F, Nixon Presidential Materials; Part 1275; Preservation and Protection of and Access to the Presidential Historical Materials of the Nixon Administration; Subpart A; General Provisions), the term national security classified information shall mean “any matter which is security classified under existing law, and has been or should be designated as such.”
