National Transportation Security Center of Excellence [NTSCOE] Law and Legal Definition
National Transportation Security Center of Excellence (NTSCOE) is one among the 12 Centers of Excellence that is found across the U.S. NTSCOE is constituted by the secretary of homeland security. NTSCOE conducts research and education activities, and develops professional security training, including the training of transportation employees and transportation professionals. NTSCOE consists of the following seven institutions:
Connecticut Transportation Institute at the University of Connecticut;
Tougaloo College;
Texas Southern University;
National Transit Institute at Rutgers - the State University of New Jersey;
Homeland Security Management Institute at Long Island University;
Mack Blackwell National Rural Transportation Study Center at the University of Arkansas; and
Mineta Transportation Institute at San José State University.
