Ne luminibus officiator is a Latin term which means “lights be not impeded”. The term as used in civil law, describes the name of a servitude restraining the owner of a house from making erections causing obstruction to the light to an adjoining house. A person is prohibited from making construction which will block light to his/ her neighbor.
