New and Independent cause means “an act or omission of a separate and independent agency which destroys a causal connection between the negligent act or omission of the defendant and the plaintiff's injury.” Ponder v. Morrison-Knudsen Co., 685 F. Supp. 1359, 1368 (E.D. Tex. 1988)
