NFA 34 Law and Legal Definition
NFA 34 (The National Firearms Act of 1934) (“Act”) is an act of congress that imposes a statutory excise tax on the manufacture and transfer of certain firearms and mandates the registration of firearms. The NFA 34 is also referred as Title II of the federal firearms laws.
The purpose of the Act was to regulate gangster weapons like machine gun and hand rifle and also other regulated firearms like short barreled rifles, suppressors and other destructive devices.
