Non-Liquid Alternative Vehicle Fuel Law and Legal Definition
According to 16 CFR 309.1 [Title 16 Commercial Practices; Chapter I Federal Trade Commission; Subchapter C Regulations under Specific Acts of Congress; Part 309 Labeling Requirements for Alternative Fuels and Alternative Fueled Vehicles]; non-liquid alternative vehicle fuel means "alternative fuel used for the purpose of powering a non-liquid alternative fueled vehicle, including, but not limited to, compressed natural gas ("CNG"), hydrogen gas ("hydrogen"), electricity, and any other non-liquid vehicle fuel the Secretary determines, by rule, is substantially not petroleum and would yield substantial energy benefits and substantial environmental benefits."
