Non-metered License Law and Legal Definition
A non-metered license, under Patent law, is an agreement to allow a patent's use in exchange for a flat percentage of sales, without consideration to how much the patent is actually used. In one instance, the Supreme Court rejected a non-metered license as patent misuse and it was observed that the buyer has a right to insist on paying only for actual use.
