Noncommercial Scientific Institution Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 9.13 (Title 10 – Energy, Chapter I; Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 9 - Public Records; Subpart A - Freedom Of Information Act Regulations), Noncommercial scientific institution means “an institution that is not operated on a commercial basis, as the term "commercial" is referred to in the definition of "commercial-use request," and is operated solely for the purpose of conducting scientific research, the results of which are not intended to promote any particular product or industry.”
