Nonindustrial Private Forest Land Law and Legal Definition
The term "nonindustrial private forest land" means “rural land, as determined by the Secretary, that--
(A) has existing tree cover or is suitable for growing trees; and
(B) is owned by any nonindustrial private individual, group, association, corporation, Indian tribe, or other private legal entity that has definitive decisionmaking authority over the land.” (16 USCS § 3801)
