Notice Of Allowance Law and Legal Definition
A notice of allowance is issued after verification of the patent application. A notice of allowance indicates that the patent application has successfully met the requirements of the USPTO regarding the grant of patents and that the patent will be issued at some future date. When the Patent Examiner has determined that a patent application has met the statutory requirements for patentability the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will issue a Notice of Allowance, granting the patent or license.
