Notorious Law and Legal Definition
Notorious can be defined as something or someone known widely and usually unfavorably. It can also be termed infamous. A person known by the public and at odds with the community’s accepted moral values is a notorious person. For example, the term can be used as in ‘a notorious gangster’ or ‘a district notorious for vices’.
