Obligations Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 49 CFR 18.3 [Title 49 – Transportation, Subtitle A -- Office of the Secretary of Transportation], the term obligations means “the amounts of orders placed, contracts and subgrants awarded, goods and services received, and similar transactions during a given period that will require payment by the grantee during the same or a future period.”
