Observer Mission Law and Legal Definition
According to 31 CFR 13.2 (Title 31 - Money And Finance: Treasury; Subtitle A - Office Of The Secretary Of The Treasury; Part 13 - Procedures For Providing Assistance To State And Local Governments In Protecting Foreign Diplomatic Missions), the term observer mission means “a mission invited to participate in the work of an international organization by that organization. The invitation to participate shall be extended by the international organization pursuant to the same internal rules of the international organization as are applicable to any permanent mission.”
