Office of Field Policy and Management [HUD] Law and Legal Definition
The Office of Field Policy and Management (FPM) is the office of public of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It is one of the program offices of the HUD that provides direction and oversight for Regional and Field Office Directors.
The functions of the FPM include:
a. communicating priorities and policies of the Secretary to the field managers and ensures the effective pursuit of the Secretary's initiatives and special projects;
b. communicating other management and administrative functions to the local field offices;
c. ensuring that critical field program delivery issues are addressed and program impacts and customer service at the local level are assessed; and
d. providing operational feedback designed to constructively influence program design and Departmental policy making.
