Office of Information Policy [Department of Justice] Law and Legal Definition
The Office of Information Policy (OIP) is a part of the U.S. Department of Justice which is responsible for encouraging agency compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Office ensures that the President’s FOIA Memorandum and the Attorney General's FOIA Guidelines are fully implemented across the government.
