Office of Management and Budget [OMB] Law and Legal Definition
Office of Management and Budget [OMB] is a cabinet-level office of the executive office of the President of the U.S. (EOP). It evaluates, formulates, and coordinates management procedures and program objectives within and among federal department’s agencies. The OMB's mission is to assist the President in overseeing the preparation of the federal budget and to supervise its administration in executive branch agencies. Functions of the OMB include the study and recommendations to the President of the changes relative to the existing organizational structure of the agencies, their activities and methods of business.
