Official Development Assistance [ODA] Law and Legal Definition
Official Development Assistance (ODA) is an international cooperation or foreign aid by which wealthier countries assist the development of poorer ones. It is compiled by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. The ODA works as an indicator of international aid flow. The ODA main objective is to promote economic development and welfare of developing countries. It’s flows comprise contributions of donor government agencies, at all levels, to developing countries and to multilateral institutions.
