According to 7 CFR 52.3 [Title 7-Agriculture; Subtitle B - Regulations Of The Department Of Agriculture; Chapter I -Agricultural Marketing Service H1 Standards, Inspections, Marketing Practices), Department Of Agriculture; Subchapter C -Regulations And Standards Under The Agricultural Marketing Act Of 1946 And The Egg Products Inspection Act; Part 52- Processed Fruits And Vegetables, Processed Products Thereof, and Certain Other Processed Food Products H1, Subpart - Regulations Governing Inspection And Certification , Definitions]"Official identification" means “any United States (U.S.) standard designation of class, grade, quality, size, quantity, or condition specified in this part or any symbol, stamp, label, or seal indicating that the product has been graded or inspected and/or indicating the class, grade, quality, size, quantity, or condition of the product approved by the Administrator and authorized to be affixed to any product, or affixed to or printed on the packaging material of any product.”
