Official Responsibility Law and Legal Definition
According to 11 CFR 7.2 [Title 11. Federal Elections; Chapter I. Federal Election Commission; Part 7. Standards of Conduct; Subpart A. General Provisions] the term official responsibility means “the direct administrative or operating authority, whether intermediate or final, to approve, disapprove, or otherwise direct Commission action. Official responsibility may be exercised alone or with others and either personally or through subordinates.”
