Older Individual who is Blind [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 367.5 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 367 -- Independent Living Services for Older Individuals who are Blind; Subpart A – General], the term older individual who is blind means “an individual age fifty-five or older whose severe visual impairment makes competitive employment extremely difficult to obtain but for whom IL goals are feasible.”
