Open Caucus Law and Legal Definition
Open Caucus refers to a system of election where a gathering of individuals from a specific area choose their party's nominee. Persons present nominate their party's candidate for their specific assembly or caucus. An individual voter does not have to declare his/her political party to participate in an open caucus.
