According to 15 USCS § 1141 (17), [Title 15. Commerce and Trade; Chapter 22. Trademarks; The Madrid Protocol] the term opposition period means “the time allowed for filing an opposition in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including any extension of time granted under section 13 [15 USCS § 1063].”
