Organization of American States Law and Legal Definition
Organization of American States (OAS) is an international organization between the republics of the Western Hemisphere, established in 1948. OAS Promotes social and economic development in the Western hemisphere through cooperation. The aim of OAS is to achieve an order of peace and justice, to promote solidarity, to strengthen collaboration, and to defend sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of member nations.
