Organizational Meeting (Corporate Law) Law and Legal Definition
Organizational meeting is an initial meeting where the formation of the corporation is completed. Many tasks are completed at the organizational meeting such as the ratification of articles of incorporation, issue of initial shares, election of officers, and approval of bylaws. The initial directors can hold the organizational meeting if they are named in the articles of incorporation. However, an organizational meeting is held by an incorporator if the initial directors are not named in the articles of incorporation.
