Out-of-Field Teacher [Education] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 6602 (5) [Title 20. Education; Chapter 70. Strengthening and Improvement of Elementary and Secondary Schools; Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High Quality Teachers and Principals; Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund], the term out-of-field teacher means “a teacher who is teaching an academic subject or a grade level for which the teacher is not highly qualified.”
