Over, Short, and Damaged [Transportation] Law and Legal Definition
Over, short, and damaged refers to a report lodged by a recipient of a shipment that material is received damaged, or the quantity is either over or short of the quantity designated on the purchase order. The over, short, and damaged report is lodged with a claim. On receiving this report, the supplier should respond according to the instructions in the report.
