Overseas housing allowance refers to a United States military entitlement authorized for officers who live on the local economy outside conterminous United States (OCONUS). It is a claim given to service members who do not occupy government quarters to provide housing for themselves and their dependents. Overseas housing allowance apply to the usual cost of rental property, purchased properties and utility allowances.
