Overstay Law and Legal Definition
"Overstay" refers to the situation when a visitor to the United States does not leave the country or remains in the country even after the date approved and recorded on his I-94 form. "Overstay" becomes reasonable grounds for sanctions to be instituted against the foreign national. The sanctions shall include cancellation of the visa to denial of entry based upon the duration of the "overstay" period.
