Random Source Law and Legal Definition
According to 9 CFR 1.1 [Title 9 -- Animals and Animal Products; Chapter I -- Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Department of Agriculture], random source means “dogs and cats obtained from animal pounds or shelters, auction sales, or from any person who did not breed and raise them on his/her premises.”
