Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network Law and Legal Definition
The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network is the U.S. anti-sexual assault organization working with local rape crisis centers across the country.
The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network aims to :
a. publicize the hotline's free, confidential services for sexual victims;
c. educate the public about sexual assault; and
d. lead national efforts to prevent sexual assault;
e. improve services to victims; and
f. ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
Its policy department tracks, analyzes, and disseminates statistics and information on federal and state policies regarding sexual assault. The leaders of the organization testifies Congress on issues ranging from DNA to sexual assault in the military, and are regularly consulted by members of Congress, state legislators and others working to improve the system.
