Re-alignment Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 USCS § 2687 (Title 10, Armed Forces; Subtitle A, General Military Law; Part IV, Service, Supply, And Procurement; Chapter 159, Real Property; Related Personal Property; And Lease Of Non-Excess Property), the term "realignment" includes “any action which both reduces and relocates functions and civilian personnel positions, but does not include a reduction in force resulting from workload adjustments, reduced personnel or funding levels, skill imbalances, or other similar causes.”
