Recall a Judgment Law and Legal Definition
To recall a judgment means to revoke, cancel, or vacate a judgment for matters of fact. When a judgment is annulled by reason of error of law, it is reversal of a judgment. The purpose of recalling a judgment is to correct an error.
A motion to alter or amend a judgment must be filed no later than 28 days after the entry of the judgment. [USCS Fed Rules Civ Proc R 59]
