Receivership Court Law and Legal Definition
A receivership court has jurisdiction over an institution under receivership. Receivership is the situation in which an institution or enterprise is being held by a receiver who has custodial responsibility of its property including tangible and intangible assets and rights.
Following is an example of Alabama state statute [Code of Ala. § 5-1A-2] which defines the term Receivership Court.
Receivership court means “The circuit court of the county in which is located the principal office of a bank in receivership.”
