Recreational drug use is the use of a narcotic drug that is used in irregular intervals and is claimed to be non-addictive. Recreational drugs are used with the intention of making or increasing recreational experience, or to have fun, or for the experience, or to enhance an already positive experience. Most state laws prohibit the use of many different recreational drugs and medicinal drugs that have the potential for recreational use. However, the use of many other recreational drugs on the other hand are considered as legal, with an age restriction on using and purchasing of such drugs. For instance the use of alcohol, tobacco, betel nut, and caffeine products in the west, are considered as legal.
