Refugee Cash Assistance [RCA] Law and Legal Definition
The Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Program is a federally funded program that provides cash and medical assistance to eligible adults who are admitted to the U.S as refugees. Cash and medical assistance is limited to eight months after arrival into the U.S. Refugees must achieve self-sufficiency and social adjustment as quickly as possible. Case Management Agencies determine eligibility and grant amount.
