Regional Fuel Tax Agreement Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 49 USCS § 31701, ‘Regional Fuel Tax Agreement’ means the interstate agreement on collecting and distributing fuel use taxes paid by motor carriers in the States of Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. This agreement is restricted to fuel use taxes paid in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. It is often abbreviated as RFTA.
