Regional Mutual Aid Law and Legal Definition
Regional mutual aid means agreements that are intended for use in emergencies that excessively tax the local capacities. Regional mutual aid may include the provision of personnel, equipment, materials, and other forms of assistance, or any combination of assistance. These agreements are often coordinated by councils of government or regional public safety task forces. In order to enhance regional preparedness these agreements are build on automatic aid agreements and local mutual aid agreements.
