Register in Bankruptcy Law and Legal Definition
Register in bankruptcy is a federal judicial officer who administers bankruptcy proceedings. However such officers are now abolished by the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1978. They have been replaced by bankruptcy judges. Register in Bankruptcy is also referred to as referee in bankruptcy.
