Registered Electrical Contractor Law and Legal Definition
A registered electrical contractor is a contractor registered for a local county or municipal certificate of competency with the Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board to become a state registered contractor. A registered licensee can only work in the counties or municipalities where they hold a local license. On the other hand, a certified electrical contractor is a person who passed the state licensing examination to become licensed electrical contractor.
