Request for Correction [Patents] Law and Legal Definition
According to 37 CFR 102.22 (8) [Title 37 -- Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights; Chapter I -- United States Patent and Trademark Office, Department of Commerce; Subchapter B – Administration; Part 102 -- Disclosure of Government Information; Subpart B -- Privacy Act], the term request for correction or amendment means “the request by an individual or an individual's parent or guardian that USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) change (either by correction, amendment, addition or deletion) a particular record in a system of records which pertains to that individual.”
