Resettlement (Immigration) Law and Legal Definition
In the context of Immigration law, the process of relocating refugees permanently to a place outside of their country granting them legal resident status and allowing them to establish residence and become productive members of society is known as resettlement. Refugee resettlement is accomplished through the direct assistance of private charitable agencies that work with the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement.
