Resident Species Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 81.1 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries, Chapter I -- United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of The Interior], the term resident species is “one which is resident in a State if it exists in the wild in that State during any part of its life.”
