Resource-Conserving Crop Rotation Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 16 USCS § 3838 (10), [Title 16. Conservation; Chapter 58. Erodible Land and Wetland Conservation and Reserve Program; Agricultural Resources Conservation Program; Conservation Security and Farmland Protection; Conservation Security Program] the term resource-conserving crop rotation means “a crop rotation that--
(A) includes at least 1 resource-conserving crop (as defined by the Secretary);
(B) reduces erosion;
(C) improves soil fertility and tilth;
(D) interrupts pest cycles; and
(E) in applicable areas, reduces depletion of soil moisture (or otherwise reduces the need for irrigation).”
