Respirator Fit Factor Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 20.1003 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter I -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 20 -- Standards for Protection Against Radiation; Subpart A -- General Provisions], the term respirator fit factor means “a quantitative estimate of the fit of a particular respirator to a specific individual, and typically estimates the ratio of the concentration of a substance in ambient air to its concentration inside the respirator when worn.”
