Responsive Action Law and Legal Definition
A responsive action in Patent law refers to a patent applicant's answer to an examiner's rejections in an office action. For being responsive, the answer of the patent applicant should address all of the examiner's issues in detail. It should not merely be a submittal of substitute claims.
