Retained Legal Counsel Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 719.2 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter III Department of Energy; Part 719 Contractor Legal Management Requirements; Subpart A General Provisions], retained legal counsel means “members of the bar working in the private sector, either individually or in law firms, who are retained by a contractor or the Department to provide legal services.”
