River Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 16 USCS § 1286 (a), [Title 16. Conservation; Chapter 28. Wild and Scenic Rivers] the term river means “a flowing body of water or estuary or a section, portion, or tributary thereof, including rivers, streams, creeks, runs, kills, rills, and small lakes.”
