The rule of consistency in criminal conspiracy law refers to the concept that when all co-conspirators stand trial, the acquittal of all but one requires the conviction of the final defendant to be set aside, because the acquittals of the others precludes the a finding of the necessary conspiratorial agreement between any two of them.
