Talent Scout Law and Legal Definition
Talent Scout is referred to a person whose occupation is to discover and recruit talented persons in the field of entertainment or sports. S/he has to search for talented artists, sportsmen, performers, etc., for employing them as professionals.
Following is an example of a state (California) statute [Cal Lab Code § 1701(h)] defining the term ‘Talent Scout’.
Talent Scout means “an individual employed, appointed, or authorized by a talent service, who solicits or attempts to solicit an artist for the purpose of becoming a client of the service. The principals of a service are themselves talent scouts if they solicit on behalf of the service”.
