Taxidermy Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 92.4 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries, Chapter I -- United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of The Interior], the term taxidermy refers to “birds preserved and mounted in lifelike representations. Taxidermy does not include preserving bird parts to be integrated into traditional arts and crafts.”
